Can somebody please explain to me how you lose control of a car if you're the only one in the tunnel?

Can somebody please explain to me how you lose control of a car if you're the only one in the tunnel?

The one that kills me is the double bus that didn't even stop!
There must be something wrong with that tunnel or else there are alot of stupid drivers going through it.
